How much do hair extensions cost at a salon?

I'm a 19 year old Asian female with black hair to my shoulders.

I'm wondering what a rough estimate for the cost of hair extensions. I would want them to go past my chest and be slightly wavy in texture.

I realize there is a huge range, but a rough estimate would help.

I can spend anywhere from $743+

Thanks. How much do hair extensions cost at a salon?
Cost depends on a number of factors. The type of hair extension, the amount of hair used, the length of hair or the look desired. Also, geography plays a part. NYC, LA, Chicago, will be more expensive that smaller towns across the USA, due to expenses incurred by the salon.

A top of the line hair extension system like Great Lengths, HairDreams, Remylinks, will cost more because of the premium nature of the hair. It costs the salon more money to buy, hence the added costs to the customer. To add body to hair, figure you need $600 and up, to add length, figure $1500 and up.

There are more affordable methods. In general with what I said earlier, the duration the extension lasts, plays a factor in price also. If it last a couple of months, it will be cheaper than something that lasts up to 6 months. You can get a system like UltraTress and Simplicity for around $500, which is an affordable option.

Be careful just judging on price. If it cost $200 for full head of hair extensions, stay away. They will probably destroy your hair.

Use only 100% Natural Remy Human Hair Extensions. Avoid Synthetic, and make sure the person is a licensed hair dresser. How much do hair extensions cost at a salon?
The only way to know for sure is to get a consultation from the stylist. Most good stylists will offer a free consultation.

There are too many variables. For example, do you want human hair, or synthetic? Human hair can cost you the $743 all by itself, not including putting them into your hair.

A consultation is a good idea also, because you really want to make sure that the person is capable. I work in a salon, and I have seen many a woman come in crying, because her stylist did such a terrible job, and now she not only paid the outrageous price to have them put in, but now she has to pay to have them removed, even though they haven't been in that long, but they look shaggy and nasty. OR worse yet...they are falling out after the first week.

The stylist at our salon charges $1500.00 total on average, but the plugs are very small, are human hair, and last %26amp; last. They look super natural, and can easily be removed.

Hope that helps.
All i got to say is um WOW(:
