How come my hair extensions fall out after a few days? What am i doing wrong?

I have tried recently to glue in hair extensions myself. I have streaky medium long blonde brown hair and i used strand by strand pieces from a synthetic blonde wig to glue chunky highlights in.

It looked FABULOUS but they came out after a couple days.

Why is this?

I used Cold Bonding glue. How come my hair extensions fall out after a few days? What am i doing wrong?
Extensions should be glued to the roots of your hair not your scalp so I'm sure if you're doing it yourself, you can't be sure you are placing it in the right spot. Also you need to hold your fingers/hand on it for a minute or so because the body heat from you actually helps the glue bond better rather than just sticking it on and moving to the next piece.

Try going to sallys and asking them for their strongest hair glue. How come my hair extensions fall out after a few days? What am i doing wrong?
To preface my answer:

The fusion extension method of hair extensions was invented by Torain. Any hairstylist that has been in the business for more than 7 years knows him, has been trained by him, or has been trained by someone that was trained by him. He is executive vice president of www.jaguarluxuryremi.com We sell Torain Fusion hair extensions.

Answer: The application technique and quality of the glue used for the fusion. It is a long complicated answer. But cold fusion is pure marketing. There is no fusion without heat! No one in the industry will tell you that except me. Fusion hair extensions, when properly applied will last for 30 days at the least without 1 strand coming out.

Hope this helps

well, there are many things that could go wrong.

i'm used to using cinderella hair extensions, so it may not apply, but there's a lot that you need to do...

first, you need to wash your hair with a strong shampoo, then make sure your hair is completely dry before gluing them in. most of the time, you are supposed to get a specific shampoo to use that will not break down the bonding agent while its in your hair, so if you dont have the proper shampoo while they're in, it can remove the glue from the hair shaft.

i know nothing about cold bonding glue...is it supposed to be used for extensions? because if not, thats probably your biggest problem.

extensions are probably best left to the professionals, sorry.
try clip in human hair extensions, SO much more convenient. sally beauty supply sells them for like, $ 70.00! a hollywood hair stand in the mall sells human hair extensions for $200.00, rip off! and with human hair, you can dye them too :) i used to be blonde, dyed my hair and the extensions brown and they turned out great! it's an investment but they last you a very long time and don't fall out :)
Glue in extensions, or tracks, only last for about a week. If you want something more permanent get clip in extensions. You can take them out when you're sleeping and showering which will keep the hair nicer for a longer time.
It's because you're using hair extentions.
Tease your hair a bit under the part where your going to put them. Good luck =]
