Hair extension question?

I want to get hair extensions, but the clip in kind.

I already found some really nice and affordable HUMAN hair extensions at Sally's. My only question is that it just comes with the hair, and nothing to attach it to. At this point, it says ';Can be bonded or weaved in';. Does this mean I can buy hair extension clips, and just clip them on and use them?Hair extension question?
iam not sure Ive only heard about, bonded, and weaved. the best thing to do is go to a hairdresser and ask them the question. they would give you the best answerHair extension question?
bonded means that it can be glued in, and weaved means sewn to your head.

but you can just sew clips onto the hair weave

thats what i do

we dont have a sallys over here (australia)

so i have to buy all my stuff from the internet

but i heard that they sell the clips at sallys

they are really easy to sew on to the clips

and then you just clip them in

i hope that helped
no bonded means glued in and weaved in means sewn in you would be better off getting them sewn in because the glue stinks real bad and it hurts when you take them outalso if you want the clip in kind i suggest looking for them on the internet
Yes u can!!! You can buy them at sallys and sew them in. Only put 3 per track on the short ones, and 4 on the long ones. You can also buy them with the clips on them at sallys..Its about $80 depending on where you is located.

Can I condition my synthetic hair extensions without wrecking them?

They're clip ins, so they're pretty cheap in any case (just ones that go around my head rather than individual bits to put in different places). They look realistic enough, but they also look dry at the ends. I've tried brushing them out but they tangle. If I were to use some conditioner on them, would it ruin them? Can I condition my synthetic hair extensions without wrecking them?
no it wouldnt.

most people put the conditioner in the hair extensions and leave it in and put little plastic bags on them and leave it there for 3 days and they are all nice shiny and smooth :]Can I condition my synthetic hair extensions without wrecking them?
No I used conditioner on mines and it was brill but if you use hair serum before you straighten them its stops them from getting as dry:)

  • How do you remove glue from hair extensions?

I bought some extensions for 60 dollras a pack and i want to keep my hair!Yet they have glue on them...I want to reuse them so how do i remove the glue off the tracksHow do you remove glue from hair extensions?
They do sell a glue remover at most stores. Some say use baby oil but I don't think it actually dissolves the glue. Either way you've got some work in front of you. Good luckHow do you remove glue from hair extensions?
Shampoo should do the trick...you can buy a shampoo brush for about $1 at the beauty supply and brush through the track while you shampoo it, so it doesn't get tangled.....for $60 a pack, I don't blame you for wanting to reuse them. Yikes! You can also use glue remover, but a lot of people are allergic. Only use the remover if you are certain that you are not allergic to it.

    Hope this helps.
if you've had the hair in a lot then i would toss them and get new hair... its hard to remove the glue off the tracks... and unless you've kept the hair in top condition, chances are its gonna start to look dry and damaged. I would just invest and get new ones and re-glue them in.

How much do hair extensions cost?

I want to make my hair longer. Its Right at my chest right now and i want to get my hair below my chest. So how much are hair extensions? And will they affect your hair in a bad way?How much do hair extensions cost?
    Heeey there ,

alright well i've had hair extensions before.

%26amp; im letting you know right now, no matter what get the REAL HAIR extensions.. fake hair extensions if you put heat to them , they just look like all frizzy and horse like hair.. the real hair extensions ( clip in recommended ) are like around 100-150 bucks at a good store..

get your phone book, and call around for the best deal .

but honestly they get VERY annoying so easily.. like you'll love them for about a month.. but then when you go out and stuff, they tend to fall out alot and stuff, and when you get them sewn in they just tug at your hair and you have alot of bumps in the back of your head..

    not attractive..

hope i helped :)How much do hair extensions cost?
Cost depends on a number of factors. The type of hair extension, the amount of hair used, the length of hair or the look desired. Also, geography plays a part. NYC, LA, Chicago, will be more expensive that smaller towns across the USA, due to expenses incurred by the salon.

A top of the line hair extension system like Great Lengths, HairDreams, Remylinks, will cost more because of the premium nature of the hair. It costs the salon more money to buy, hence the added costs to the customer. To add body to hair, figure you need $600 and up, to add length, figure $1500 and up.

There are more affordable methods. In general with what I said earlier, the duration the extension lasts, plays a factor in price also. If it last a couple of months, it will be cheaper than something that lasts up to 6 months. You can get a system like UltraTress and Simplicity for around $500, which is an affordable option.

Be careful just judging on price. If it cost $200 for full head of hair extensions, stay away. They will probably destroy your hair.

Use only 100% Natural Remy Human Hair Extensions. Avoid Synthetic, and make sure the person is a licensed hair dresser.
'So how much are hair extensions?'

it depends if you choose synthetic fibre or human hair.

synthetic you can buy for very cheap, because they are a plastic fibre they may look like real hair for a bit, but they can turn pretty nasty looking and you cannot straighten/curl or use heat on these as they will burn and ruin,

100% human hair is the hair extensions i buy. because basically nobody will be able to tell you are wearing them as they are the aturalist when it comes to hair extensions. if you get the right colour and length. it will look like your own hair.

you can straighten and curl these too and use them in your normal hair ruitine.

these can range in price. if you want good hair yaki human hair is the priciest. in a salon it could range from 拢150-400 ( $320-$800)

or you can just buy the weft itself for (in the uk 拢30-拢60) (in the us around $70-$150)

'And will they affect your hair in a bad way?'

    Yes and No

For people who use the clip in method of extensions it can pull on your hair roots, which may result in thinner or slight bald areas (in bad cases),

For people who use the sew in method its less likely to cause dammage to your natural hair follicals and the roots.

you will need someone to sew the weft to your hair for that method.

Theres other methods like glue %26amp; microrings, they are the most fiddley.

and its best to speak to someone with experience with bonding glue and microrings

    Good Luck
It depends on what type you get and where you live. Prices vary with each stylist. They can range anywhere from $500 to $2500. There are 2 common types of extensions - weaves and keratin bonded. Weaves are when they braid the hair and sew the hair to each tiny braid. Keratin bonded extensions are made out of keratin obviously - but it is the same protein your hair is made of. It isn't very damaging at all, and it looks much more natural than a weave. They apply these strands with heat. Ask around, most stylist do a free consultation for extensions!
Fake ones like jessica simpson (they are still nice) are like 100-150$ (where i live) but real hair ones are like 300-400$ and those are the ones you want if you want to curl them or straighten them. Hair extensions really start to thin out your hair because you are always taking them out.. but they do the truck ahha. Hope you find some you like : ):)
if you get clip in ones they are about 100 or up.

if you want like really nice ones that stay in and you

get them done in a saloon 200 +
depends on your hair type. Where u buy the hair from. And how much they charge to put the extensions in.

Extensions with hair included range from $150 - $400.00

What's the average price of hair extensions at a hair salon?

I am looking for shoulder length extensions, nothing fancy, super expensive, or over the top. I live in a rural state so no outrageous beauty scene. What would the ballpark cost be? Thanks. What's the average price of hair extensions at a hair salon?

What kind of hair extensions are the best?

Money really isnt a issue, but id like to keep it below a 100 if possible.

    i want long hair.

    problem: my hair grows SLOWWW.

Right now i have a black scene haircut. And id like to get some extensions that blend in with my hair and look natural.

preferably some that i can straighten or curl and brush and maybe even dye. Basically clip in ones that i can do whatever with.

Is there any brands i should be on the lookout for? What kind of hair extensions are the best?
Brand doesn't matter just make sure it says that it's REAL hair. Clip in's are fun but if you want to use them every day it get's annoying to have to take them out and put them in every day (I have them... I know) but if you like to change your look every day then clip ins are great :)What kind of hair extensions are the best?
You probably want REAL HAIR extentions.

You can get them from Sally's Beauty Supplies. What I found is easiest to do is buy the chair clips that are usually located right next to the extentions, and sew them onto the clip. That way you can use them over and over again. Gluing them in is not a good idea. It will tear your haiar out and the glue is hard to get out. Sewing them onto your head is a better idea, but then they eventually have to be taken out and usually cant be used again since they have been washed so amny times. thats why I think it's better to sew them onto clips becasue you can take them out every day and they do not get damaged. and you can cut them and do whatever you would like to them. :)
my friend has these and they look really nice (she found them at Winners for super cheap!)

How do i get out my hair extensions (keratin wax) at home or with some product?

So now it's been 3 months and my extensions are really getting on my nerves. They tangle all the time and don't look to healthy anymore, i want them out!

What kind of home products or cheap ';remover'; can i use? I really don't want to put my hair through anymore damage...How do i get out my hair extensions (keratin wax) at home or with some product?
Acetone. Apply it to the bond and let it sit for a minute. The bond should start to crumble. Can be tedious work but this is how they would do it in the salon. How do i get out my hair extensions (keratin wax) at home or with some product?
You should never remove hair extensions by yourself. that is how people damage their hair, and give hair extensions a reputation for damaging hair.

Hair extensions do not damage your hair as long as they are professionally applied and removed. Please go to a hair extensions salon and remove them correctly.
I went to my local beauty supply store (queens) and bought this stuff i cant remember what the name brand was but it was a bond remover was oil based my tracks came right out but it still broke off some of my hair i would recommend sewing in your extenstions next time.

  • Is there a such thing a hair extensions for natural black hair that isn't slick down straight or too shiny?

if you get extensions on your hair, you wanna get something that matches your hair. For exaple same hair color and type of hair curly, waivy or straight. unless you are using them as highlights you can use a different color.
you want a weave or are you looking to do twists? I recommend twists, and I use this texture: http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/yhst-25194928405/a> , but you could also do a sew in with whatever texture hair you choose.
yes get it from claires acsesories

How to put in Hot Topic hair extensions?

I bought a packet of those blue clip-in synthetic hair extensions (comes with two extensions) at Hot Topic but I don't know how to put them in.

Can someone give me instructions on how to put them in my hair? How to put in Hot Topic hair extensions?
You just pop out the clip. Slide it into backcombed hair. Push in the center of clip, and it will close when your hear the pop.

Those extensions suck. %26gt;.%26gt;How to put in Hot Topic hair extensions?
separate the hair were you want to place the extention. Spray a little extra hold hairspray at the root, and tease until you can't run your comb through easily. Let the hair lye and place extention. Make sure to cover w/ a little of your natural hair, so you can't see where the extention is held in at!
Well, I think you should ask the person who sold them to you....

    Good Luck - Have fun!!!

BTW- I have blue extensions too!!! But not from Hot Topic tho....
tease a little then just put them like you going to brush your hair, make sure there opne, then close them

My hair is a little above my shoulders. I don't want perminant...its more like just to see if i want longer hair cause ive never had it before...maybe to wear it for like a couple days.

the good ones are around 200$How much does it cost to get good quality hair extensions?
1 If you only want to wear it for a couple of days, I would suggest using clip ins instead of the typical hair extension method like sew in hair extensions or fusion.

#2 A sew in application service can run between $150 to $600 depending on your area. Really. A fusion application service can run between $250 and $1500. Again, depending on your area. However, you put your clip ins yourself.

#3 For the most natural looking hair extensions, you always want to buy 100% human hair. Quoting the clip in page from hairextensions.com, a 1pc Clip ins, 100% human hair, bearing Jessica Simpson's name, in 17 inch is on sale for $210.00. On the same site, an 8 pc, 100% human hair, bearing Raquel Welch's name, in 18 inch is on sale for $239. So prices all over the park. Do you homework. Shop online. The best prices for 100% human hair are online.

#4 Since I have answered your question, let me tell you about us. Jaguar Luxury manufactures its own brand of 100% human hair extensions. We manufacture for salons and brands like those seen on hairextensions.com. And we manufacture under our own brand. We sell a 10 pc, 100% human hair, in 22 inch, for $150.00. A longer length for a better price. Therefore, you can cut to any style you like. Basically, our Jaguar Luxury Remi Hair brand is wholesale prices directly to consumers. You may find our ads in Sister 2 Sister Magazine, Hype Hair Magazine, and Modern Salon Magazine. or just google the words ';remi hair'; and we are usually on the first page. We teach free classes at all the top beauty shows like Bronner Brothers and Premiere Beauty. By the way, the next free video on our site will be on how to apply clip ins.

Hope the info on us wasn't a bore. Hope i answered your question.

How do i get started with hair extensions?

i want long hair. so i was going to get extensions. i have no clue to how to get started. i have a lot of questions... how do i get them? where do i get them? and who puts them in? how much will they cost? do i buy glue? if so what kind? or clip-ins?

Thanks for the help! How do i get started with hair extensions?
you could get them at any beauty supply and it's best to buy them made from natural hair... I love the clip ins but they cost about $100 or more if you're going to glue the weft of course you have to buy glue... the clip ins are easy to put on and if you don't have a lot of money you can buy the hair extensions, buy the clips and sew them yourself here take a look at these videos

There are many places that sell hair extensions, you can even buy them in hairdressers occasionally. I used to glue my hair extensions in, and it REALLY damaged my hair even with the cream to remove the glue afterwards.

I would suggest buying the hair extensions (which can cost as little as 拢20) and then buy a couple packs of the clips to sew in yourself. You can buy extensions with the clips already attatched, but you usually get less hair for the same price.
DO NOT GET GLUE, WEAVE, OR ANY OTHER METHOD, i had them all and they damage like crazy, they get so knotted and frizzy after a while (4 weeks approx) my hair was quite long and thick but i wanted it longer and after taking them out my hair is SO thin And above my shoulders and its very porous, so now i just use clip ins and they look so much better and natural, now im using raquel welsh but iv tried many others these are 100% human hair and are very thick ive also had synthetic these Look good but get a bit tangled and require a lot of brushing and conditioning, but the 100% human hair clips you can die , curl, straighten, and more just like your normal hair but need a bit more treatments to keep healthy. you can also buy online foxy locks are also great too and extra thick prices are More cheaper online mine were from hair house ware house and cost $300.00 but have lasted over a year now and am getting more soon as after a year or two you will need more hair for thickness as they dont grow back. they are also super easy to apply and every one tells me that it looks SOo real, hope you find sum

    Hello

My name is Patricia from http://NYCHairSalon.com, we do over 35 Different Hair extension types, so I have an answer for you that you are not going to like.

You should not do it by yourself, of have a friend help. that is how you get your hair damaged and tangled. Best thing is to go to a professional. The person who put them in, should make those adjustments for you free of charge, if you had them put in recently. If it wasnt recent, then you should go for a maintaince.

Doing it the right way, will be healthier for your hair in the long term.

If you want to try the short cut way and do it by yourself, check in youtube.com for some videos on people doing it themselves.

    Good Luck to you

How can you tighten hair extensions by yourself?
    Hi,

I am sorry to say you cant tighten them yourself. I used have glue in extensions like you have and they are a pain. The hair always gets thin and sheds out, they come loose and end up costing a fortune to keep.

My best advice for you would be to get some clip in hair extensions, they are made using the same lovely human hair that you probably have now and they dont damage the hair and last much longer. You can get some clip in hair extensions at www.headkandy.com I get mine there and they are really nice quality.

Good luck with your extensions and I hope you do switch over to clipins, its the best thing I ever did :)

How do you apply cheap, single strand hair extensions without them looking as cheap as they really are?

    I bought them for like two dollars at crazy clarks and i think they have the potential to look sweet, but, i need to know;

Where should i put them so they will look good

    and

Do i hide the top under the hair or just clip in on top?

I have short/medium hair, they bottom reaches my shoulders but i have exceedingly short layers.

Thanks in advance! How do you apply cheap, single strand hair extensions without them looking as cheap as they really are?
it sounds like it's just a colour chunk you want to put in. If it's stick straight make sure you flatten you hair to make it stick straight first. Ditto with waves or curls. The length of the extension should match the length of your hair/layer it's on. You don't want the clip to show so don't attach it on a top layer. Have fun:)How do you apply cheap, single strand hair extensions without them looking as cheap as they really are?

Human hair is a lot better than synthetic

Where to get good hair extensions done in London?
I don't live in London but i have had extensions for years and there is nothing like real human hair extensions. Synthetic hair you can't style it or straighten it or curl it or even wash it. Just search around on the net or around town. There are sure to be salons that to extensions near you. Good luck and congratulations on the wedding!!

I searched online and found a few websites for you:

hi, that will REALLY damage your hair. You should go with HUMAN HAIR clip-in extensions as they will not damage your hair and can be curled, straightened, crimped, etc.... I have made a set for a friend a while back for her wedding and she loved them.

I make clip-in hair extensions if your interested. Please view my store:

    http://hernandezextensions.etsy.com

I do not have any full head sets available in my store as I only take custom orders on full sets. When buying clip-ins, the color must match and the thickness must match and they will look amazing........
i would look into clip ins for your wedding, as the glue methods are fairly permanent and depending on where you go for your honeymoon they can be affected by the heat (sun, sea water etc).

What do sewn in hair extensions look like when they are growing out?

I am considering hair extensions because the hair around my crown area an the top of my head is much shorter that the rest of my hair. Before I go ahead with this, i was wondering if anyone could tell me what extensions generally look like when they are growing out. I am leaning towards the sewn in extensions, but I want to make sure I have all of the facts before I move forward. Any help would be greatly appreciated! What do sewn in hair extensions look like when they are growing out?
It's best not to keep them in for more than 2 to 3 months, as this is when your hair growth starts to show, and people will then be able to definatly tell you have extensions and you don't want the embarresment of someone telling you your track is showing.

Sew in really is the best for your hair, it has no glue or heat which can seriously damage and break your hair, have fun

I love long hair ;)What do sewn in hair extensions look like when they are growing out?
Explore better hair extensions types, like fusion hair extensions, before you do sew in hair extensions. Go to a professional hair extensions salon for advice.

Whats the difference between synthetic and human hair extensions?

Also do the human hair extensions look real?Whats the difference between synthetic and human hair extensions?
Synthetic are fake, basically like plastic. So you cannot straighten, blow dry, or curl them because they would just melt! With the human hair extentions, look much real and you can style them as much as you would like and they won't melt!

Good Luck!Whats the difference between synthetic and human hair extensions?
synthetic hair is fake.. and human hair usually uses part real hair and part synthetic, so it looks more natural and less like a wig :)
Human hair extensions are made out of real hair. Synthetic hair extensions are made out of plastic.

Human hair extensions only look real if the color match is good and the attachment portion is done well.
Synthetic hair extensions cannot have any heat. You can't use hot rollers or curling irons because they will melt. Human hair extentions are more expensive, but you treat it just like it was your own. You can wash them, curl them, blow them dry.
    Well, let's see...

    1. synthetic hair extensions = synthetic hair

    2. human hair extensions = human hair

If you are a human, human hair extensions probably look more real... Because they use REAL (human) hair!

If they are installed bad, either will look bad.
