How can I make my hair extensions less noticeable?

I have the heated extensions put in every few months, but my hair is dark. Sometimes when I turn just right it looks like scotch tape in my hair! Is there anything I can do to cover the tops of my extensions (I'm considering lightening my hair if I can't find a way to cover these ends!)

the fusion kind should have a glue tips, the stylist should be able to get the glue tips in different colors to match the hair better.How can I make my hair extensions less noticeable?
i would definitely try lightening your hair to make everything blend in better. i personally use the Hair-Do extensions by Jessica Simpson. they look completely natural, because its a half cap that just clips right in. but if you lightened your hair, you wouldn't have to deal with the possibility of your current extent ions peeking out on you! itd definitely be worth it!
