How do I dye my hair extensions to a lighter color?

I dyed the clip in hair to match my color (medium sandy/ashy golden brown color, I know right?) but it turned out too dark, way too dark. How do I get it lighter? The hair now is a really deep dark ash brown and way too dark for my hair. What should I do?How do I dye my hair extensions to a lighter color?

you could try bleaching it and checking very often until desired color, but it might lighten to much, or never reach the same color.How do I dye my hair extensions to a lighter color?
You should probably just buy more extensions.
