Can you take hair extensions back to a shop and swap them for another colour?

I bought some dark brown hair extensions last year, and now my hairs bright blonde so i want to swap them or something. I don't have a receipt though :/ but someone online told me that you can swap the colours if you go to the same place?


they're still in good condition, and they're synthetic.
