I can't really afford expensive products. How to make my human hair extensions softer?
When it comes to human hair extensions, you have to remember to treat them as if they were your own hair. Because the hair is not actually attached to your head, it does not get the natural oils and moisture that you natural hair gets, but still needs it to stay shiny and healthy. Many over the counter shampoos and conditioners will not cut it when it comes to rehydrating hair extensions, there are a few shampoos and conditioners available a 'Ulta'; or even salons that start off at around $11 dollars each which is affordable. Make sure you talk to a consultant at the store to ensure you are getting the best recommendation. Also, if you bought not very good quality hair, I am sorry but two months is about the life time of some hair extensions. Especially if they are blonde. If you are desperate to revive your extensions and want to spend the smallest amount of money, I would recommend ';Tresemme'; rehydrating conditioner. Wash your extensions in COLD water, add huge amounts of the conditioner and massage it onto the hair from root to tip, do not tangle! Lather on as much conditioner as you can and let it sit all night long. In the morning, wash out the conditioner and using a soft brush comb the hair GENTLY and trim the bottom. This helps a bit. Overall, your extension looking shiny and healthy all depend on how you CARE for them. Never sleep on top of them while you sweat and sleep, they will lose their shinyness this way. Never wash them in burning hot water! Always add moisture (Hair oil works as well), use the lowest heat setting on your straightner, brush gently and avoid tangles. Hope these suggestions helped. Good luck with you hair :)
