Hair Extension People: Can you use weft hair for a micro link fusion?

Or do you need a special hair.

No you cannot use a weft for micro's or fusion.



For fusion you can use either nail tip (aka u-tip) or straight tip.



For microlinks you can only use straight tip.



weft hair can only be used for weaves, skin weft, glue etc, but not any kind of strand by strand method.



That being said, methods using a weft are generally less damaging to the hair. This is cuz there tension all the way across as opposed to down. So you will have less breakage. If you do want a strand by strand method of extensions, I highly recommend microlinks over fusion (hot/cold dont matter). I just find them a lot less damaging.
