The Victorians used to do this. They had a small ceramic container with a hole in the lid to keep the hairs they took from their hairbrush. It was called a Hair Receiver. Then they used to take the hairs they collected, and take it to someone who knew how to make hair switches (extensions) out of them. The hair switches from their own hair would blend in perfectly, of course, and be better than any other.
It's very easy to collect the hairs if you have long hair, but making a switch is another matter, not so easy. I've tried it. I can't find any book or anything online about how to do it, though. Can anyone help? Thanks! How do you make a hair switch (hair extension) out of your own discarded hair?
Im sure it's not that easy. A better solution is to go to the nearest beauty supply store and buy some extensions. It's not that hard to get a very good match. or checkout some online stores. How do you make a hair switch (hair extension) out of your own discarded hair?
