I have a job interview coming up, a U.S. government job, and if I wear my hair down, it looks unprofessional. But I don't really know how to wear it up and still make it look decent at the same time. My hair is down to my waist. What are some professional-looking hairstyles for long hair?
There really isn't much you can do with hair that is that long, I would really suggest a haircut and styling.
Just putting it up in a banana clip will not look professional, especially with that much hair.
What about a bun, with a pony tail possibly using those sticks that look like chopsticks? What are some professional-looking hairstyles for long hair?
wow, that is long hair
try a bun with a bannan clip
Get rid of the Crystal Gayle look. Atleast cut it up to the band of your bra. Then it would look polished if you pulled it back into a low ponytail. Good luck with your interview.
.
I would wear it pulled back in a sharp ponytail. Or half up. The interviewer wants to see your face, and your hair should look neat.
Best of luck on the interview.
I was going to say that putting your hair up on a simple ponytail will do but when I read that your hair's up to your waist, I had to rethink.Ü A bun will probably be better since you have REALLY long hair. What I usually do (when tying my hair up in a bun) is:
1. Tie it up in a ponytail
2. Twist the (loose) hair and at the same time twist it like a circle around the base of the ponytail you just made
3. Secure with bobby pins, the ones with a small gap between the two prongs (i'm not sure if that's the correct word/term). This works better than those bobby pins that have prongs that are close to each other.
4. Make sure there are no loose hair hanging around or near your face coz you must look neat seeing as this is an interview. There are a lot of hair products out there that you can use to secure all loose strands that just wouldn't get secured by the ponytail. Then you're all set!Ü
Good luck in fixing your hair and especially on your interview.Ü
